SEWP VI named 1,486 unique winners. That means more competition on every RFQ, hundreds of emails a day, and a mandatory Technical Refresh on every quote you submit. Whether you have held a SEWP seat for years or just won your first, the program got harder.
Govly has run it with more than half of all SEWP V primes.
We know what is coming.
SEWP V had 147 prime holders. SEWP VI named 1,486 unique winners, with 364 in Category A alone, where IT product resellers compete. The field you are quoting against before an agency ever reaches you is a different size now.
If you are new, here is what you are walking into.
SEWP VI splits into three categories: Category A (IT product solutions), Category B (enterprise-wide solutions), and Category C (program-level services). Under SEWP V, scope overlapped across groups. That is no longer true. Your category now sets what you can sell and who you compete against.
SEWP V had 147 prime holders. SEWP VI named 2,115 winners, including 364 in Category A alone. Agencies have a far wider field to choose from before they ever reach your quote.
With this many holders on the vehicle, the window to respond competitively is tighter. Quotes that arrive slow, incomplete, or with TR errors are easy to pass over when the agency has hundreds of alternatives.
Every quote you submit on SEWP requires a Technical Refresh. It is not optional, and it does not get easier because the pool got bigger. Miss it, submit it wrong, or let it lapse, and you do not just lose the order. You put your standing on the contract at risk.
We created a SEWP readiness quiz if you'd prefer to spend more time before speaking with a Govly expert. Pick the path that fits where you are.
