External sharing, clearer AI search results, and opportunity data fixes

September 16, 2026

This week’s updates expand sharing through Govly AI and MCP, make opportunity-search results easier to understand, and improve the accuracy of opportunity records and documents.

Share records with external recipients

You can now share opportunities, awards, and contacts with email addresses outside your organization or partner network through Govly AI and MCP, without returning to the web share dialog.

For example, when using Claude connected to Govly through MCP, find an opportunity and ask Claude to share it with the recipient’s email address. Per-call and daily sending limits apply.

Understand what Govly AI searches found

Opportunity-search responses now distinguish between total matches, retrieved results, and the smaller set highlighted in the answer. Large searches identify capped totals rather than presenting them as exact counts, and result cards now display buyer information.

These changes make it clearer when an answer is showing a selection of results rather than the complete result set.

More accurate GSA and Unison opportunities

GSA eBuy RFIs and market-research notices are now classified correctly instead of appearing as RFQs. The historical correction is complete, so notice-type filters and reporting reflect the changes across existing records as well as newly added opportunities.

We also fixed an issue that could mix content and attachments from different Unison opportunities.

Document search and downloads

We corrected an overly restrictive indexing rule that excluded useful shared attachments from keyword search. PDF downloads from the preview now preserve the displayed filename instead of using an unrelated storage name.
